The Architecture and Design Sales Representative will be an integral part of representing our growing curated product offerings at our flagship showroom, 210 Design House, located in Chicago’s River North Design District.The Architecture and Design Sales Representative is responsible for being a subject matter expert on residential and commercial applications of our growing product line; including, but not limited to, custom furnishings, interior doors, glass dividers, custom wardrobes and closet systems and should have a strong background in interiors and design.
This individual will be responsible for calling upon architecture and design firms.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and maintain current product knowledge to present to the trade communityFollow up on new leads and referralsIdentify high-value projects to target for salesAct as consultant to the architectural and design community, by assisting with project design, product identification and applicationManage customer relationships by resolving client concerns, providing timely price quotes and follow upPresent and sell company products to current and potential clients within the interiors trade communityManage inquiries for product information or samplesCollaborate with design staff across the organization to accomplish goalsAttend and assist with industry related eventsQualifications:Minimum of 2 years experience working on architecturally design focused projectsBachelor’s degree in related field, with a rigorous design education (BA or BFA)Experience working with Architecture and Design (A&D) firms and possess a network of contractors in the leading A&D industryAn understanding of product-related certifications which are important to the A&D Community (LEEDS, FSC, PEFC, GreenGuard, etc.)Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple projects in various stages of developmentStrong communication and relationship management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of Photoshop, Sketch Up, AutoCAD, or any other design software is requiredCollaborative and team-consciousSelf-starting, responsible, and highly motivated individualDependable and punctualProfessional demeanor and sound judgmentJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offRetirement planSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:Associate (Preferred)Experience:Sales Experience: 2 years (Preferred)Technical Drawing: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location:One locationWork Remotely:No
