You Will
- Engage directly and frequently with Armory customers to help realize the voice of the customer into engaging, pleasant, understandable, and easy-to-use experiences
- Craft engaging and clear audience-specific experiences and UI’s for existing and future products, features and functionality.
- Participate and lead design sprints and brainstorming sessions to foster brilliant ideation.
- Collaborate across departments to grow Armory’s design system, highlighting the Armory personality and identity, and providing reusable components for rapid development and experimentation
- Work with both technical and non-technical teams to drive efficient delivery
- Focus on analytical iteration development in both a technical and business sense
- Manage communication with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to validate designs and user journeys
- Publish blogs about your work at Armory
- Take an active role in defining the future of the Armory platform and growth engineering culture
You Have
- 5+ years professional experience
- 3+ years of experience in UI development, preferably with Developer and/or DevOps tooling
- Outstanding visual, written and verbal communications skills to explain and translate complex technical concepts into simple and intuitive user interfaces
- Experience working with design software, including but not limited to Figma or Adobe XD
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, graphic or web design, or related area
- A portfolio and proven track record of creating high-quality user interfaces and designs
- Proven experience being self-directed and working with minimal supervision
- Use data to measure results, inform decision making and drive strategy development
- The ability to iterate quickly and explain complex US concepts into simple and initiative user interfaces in order to gather feedback
- Experience with agile development and building a SaaS platform
- Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams to convey the ‘How’
- Strong analytical abilities and a data-driven product decision-making mindset
- Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native application development
- Ability to make decisions and adapt quickly to a rapidly changing business
- Ability to innovate and iterate growth processes and designs
- A high degree of user empathy and curiosity
- Able to manage multiple projects
- Experience working globally distributed teams
- Experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment
- The ability to work autonomously and within a team
