· Employee discounts offered through AccessPerks YOU: Nurture Healthy Relationships As a TECHNICAL DESIGNER you will work closely with your team members to provide neat and accurately detailed AutoCAD drawings that give clear build instructions, allowing the project to progress smoothly over to the next production department.

Build Client Confidence As a TECHNICAL DESIGNER you will demonstrate a level of skill in being able to accurately translate the client’s approved design into working drawings that the shop can build from, in order to actualize the client’s vision successfully.

YOUR ROLE: For day to day success, you will…
• Review all designs, scope of project, and all project information with the Account Manager.

• Create accurate 3D CAD models in AutoCAD of various scenic elements on which fabrication drawings will be based.

• Produce clear, concise drawings for fabrication of various scenic elements reflective of design intent.

• Work with other CAD Department employees and Project Management to design scenic elements that best meet design intent in a manner that maximizes efficiency, safety, and quality, while minimizing cost.

• Create files for CNC based on 3D CAD models and fabrication drawings.

• Provide required reports for time spent and job status.

• Occasional site visits, to assess site conditions and verify dimensions.

If you are hard-working, eager, and humble and have a desire to serve – you have found your people Experience – You have at least 2 years experience creating 3D CAD models in AutoCAD 2013 or later (formal training in CAD drafting is a plus) You have an undergraduate degree and 3 years of related work experience under your belt, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Insight –You have a strong design sensibility.
