Senior UX Designer, Education TechnologyMidtown Manhattan – 100% REMOTE PositionOur client, an amazing NYC based premiere non profit organization based out of New York City in the education technology space is seeking a team oriented UX Designer who will be responsible for the redesign of their public facing website(s) and portals. A commitment to problem solving, sophisticated design, and being team oriented is essential. 6+ years’ experience as a senior or principal level designer with relevant experience designing digital products or services.Proven experience managing teams and establishing departmental goals and performance measurements.Ability to work collaboratively with multiple technical and non-technical teams to develop goals and then aggressively pursue them with minimal supervisionExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and usersStrong skillset and background in hands on visual design, interaction design, typography, as well as information hierarchy are ideal Curiosity and passion for solving complex design problems with a user-centered approach from research and insight generation to conceptual design, prototyping and implementationProven ability with both design oversight and hands-on creation of carefully crafted user experiences and visual design deliverables, including user flows, wireframes, typography, color, and information designHands on experience and understanding of Information Architecture is highly beneficialHolistic and inclusive approach to UX with a strong commitment to accessibility issues / accessibility standardsComfort moving between UX design, interaction flows and beautifully crafted visual designA strong online portfolio with case studies demonstrating a deep understanding of user-centered interaction designExperience with Agile methodologies and ability to work in short iterations with frequent deploymentsWillingness to both manage and “get your hands dirty” in design process and deliverablesStrong understanding of technical frameworks and architecturesProficiency in Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite, and other design tools is required
