About the Role:

Reporting to the SVP, Head of Sponsor and Partner Marketing, this person will focus on developing, managing, and executing marketing partnerships across the OneTeam suite of assets, including Player Association, athlete, and event partnerships.

  • An exceptional storyteller and communicator with a keen understanding of how to craft and evolve narratives around athletes
  • An executive with experience in managing a business unit with a deep understanding of the sports sponsorship landscape in terms of asset value and pricing
  • Process orientated and can problems solve on the spot

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead pre-sale ideation & creative solution development across the suite of OTP assets
  • Work in partnership with OTP Sales and the Athlete Relations team to build sellable platforms utilizing OTP assets
  • Partner closely with OTP’s external agency to deliver brand led ideas and activations that anchor multi-year brand sales
  • Exceptional ideation and thought leadership – effectively translating client briefs into actionable proposal
  • Identify and bring to life new inventory across the various player associations and athletes direct with OTP being the key solve
  • Hire and develop a small team of partner marketing creatives and designers to support sponsor pitches as well as ‘land and expand’ approach for licensees
  • Partner closely with sales and athlete relations to bring the right athletes to the right partners at the right time
  • Partner closely with Sales and Finance on all sales targets, pricing and packaging in proposals

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of integrated marketing, creative agency, and/or sponsorship / talent brand consulting experience at a sports or entertainment property, media company, or sponsorship agency
  • Experience managing creative teams or processes, ideally for Fortune 500 brands
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator across internal teams and brand partners
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while communicating and collaborating effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and develop compelling proposals
  • Experience presenting to existing and prospective clients
  • Ability to understand and leverage data and insights within the creative solution
  • Proficient in PPT, Sharepoint, and sales CRM software (e.g., Pipedrive, Salesforce)
