Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Design market leading footwear for assigned concept or category, working in cooperation with multiple cross functional teams. Relentless passion to create the future.

Key Responsibilities:
Concept, design, and develop creative solutions to concepts within the category. Present the designs in context to the category direction.
Develop concepts and creative strategies that fulfill objectives of category, concept, briefs.
Implement the creative vision in a product range for the Culture, Collaborations and Partnerships Business Unit.
Self-manage own creative process and execute towards given design direction within the category.
Execute design work according to the visual language of adidas as well as given Corporate Identity guidelines according to legal guidance.
Verbally present product ideas and details with clarity.
Ensure efficient process and communication flow between design, marketing, and development for all issues regarding the designed ranges and products.
Ensure proper handover of tech packs into development. Main duty is to submit all relevant information needed for the development process such as sketches, detail sketches, fabric and trim indication, artworks, etc.
Visualize ideas for products and ranges with a high degree of expertise.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

IT skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint: advanced /Outlook
Design apps: expert
Strong visual and verbal skills with the ability to create impactful/exciting visuals
Strong 3D skills and knowledge of virtual tools are required
FTW tools: Rhino, Modo, ICAD Pro, or similar 3D design tools
Strong presentation and communication skills
Good knowledge of footwear, product development, material, and trims for assigned product range.
Knowledge and use of Mac computer design software/systems (Photoshop, Illustrator,3D)
Fluent in English (spoken and written)

High level of professionalism and presentation skills in meetings inclusive of partners and collaborators

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

Under-graduate level Design education or combination thereof
At least 6-8 years practical experience in design environment (Footwear/ Apparel/ Accessories – or industrial design, fashion design or similar design related areas)
Proven experience with the entire design process (project scope and time planning, design steps, production/execution of design solution)
Passion for adidas and its mission
Passion for sports, culture, design
