We are currently seeking an innovative, vibrant, zealous and hairsplitting Interior Architectural Designer to produce and lead transformative design projects that deliver on our core values.

This position is based out of our Oakland office, and will be assigned to conduct both off-site, on-site, and remote work.

The Interior Architectural Designer will report directly to the Principal Designer and the Operation’s Manager, to provide clear communication, progress, and architectural applications for multi-disciplinary projects.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience working in an architectural or interior design firm and experience in projects ranging from multi-family to mixed-use.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Architecture, Interior Design, or Environmental Design Minimum of 5 years of experience in architecture or design, preferably in the U.S Duties & Responsibilities: Collaborate with design teams, clients, consultants to meet overall project objectives.

Participate in a variety of design projects, with a focus on architectural design, planning, project management and presentation skills.

Manage client expectations, facilitate smooth communications between the team and consultants Generate and assist the preparation of architectural drawings & construction documentation.

Develop Sketch-up models and CAD drawings for residential and commercial interior design projects.

Participate in site meetings and walkthroughs with the Contractor Take extensive and detailed notes during all meetings, reviews, and presentations.

Prepare design presentations that communicate process, research, and concepts with freehand sketches and digital presentations.

Create and maintain organized project schedules, documents, folders, client binders and project binders, as well as project boards and site visit folders with relevant information Entering and fulfilling tasks in Asana as well as delegating tasks to the rest of the team when needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Highly proficient with office, design, and architectural software, i.e., AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and GoogleDocs Excellent ability and skills to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and plans, as well as ability to create and revise drawing sets with redlines in an expedited manner consistent with Aquilo’s and clients’ standards Advanced in construction management, familiar with millwork shop drawings and design verbiage Ability to quickly understand and respond to project challenges, to conceptualize and graphically communicate solutions Advanced experience in vendor communication for samples, orders, and necessary topics for the process Advanced experience in construction communication for multiple projects at once, managing or supporting the team Knowledge of HouzzPro/Ivy preferred Experience in organizing samples, client binders, site binders and project boards.
