Director, Creative Production Innovation Management

At Netflix, innovation is in our DNA and one way this shows up is through continuous improvements to the service for our members / non-members.

These improvements can span ideas like promotional tactics that help people to discover their new favorite show, new ways to enjoy content, or testing what the right trailer or piece of artwork will be for that member to press ‘play’.

We are looking for a senior executive to lead the Creative Production Innovation Management team.

This small but critical team is comprised of seasoned program managers who leverage their deep knowledge of the production, operations and delivery of content & promotional assets to partner with our Engineering, Product Management, Design and other teams within Netflix to develop, execute and deliver on A/B testing and other innovation initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities
Functional expertise

We want you to bring in your expertise and experience in program management to help define, build, and scale a team, and best practices across the team and help to elevate our practice overall.

Define and deliver on vision
– You’ll develop the north star and long term direction of the team.

This team plays a critical role in not just facilitating innovation across deeply cross-functional initiatives but also that we can deploy these innovations at scale, for all Netflix members and titles
– around the world.

We expect you to continually elevate and drive the work of your team so that we become increasingly better and more impactful in realizing new ideas and concepts.

You’ll also help to provide overall business context for your teams so they can see how their work contributes to Netflix’s overarching goals.

Cultivate and develop cross-functional relationships
– In this role, you’ll be working across a diverse set of functions and individuals.

Your team’s success is dependent on the understanding, translation and communication of requirements across multiple functions (operational, creative, technical, strategic).

We want you to deepen established relationships, but also cultivate and identify new relationships that you and your team will need to build as we pursue innovation in new spaces.  Lead and develop a high-performing team
– You’ll be expected to empower, support and develop a team of experienced managers and individuals.

You’ll be a strong culture role model, leading by example in alignment with our principles of Inclusion, Freedom & Responsibility, and Context, Not Control, giving your team the space and support to thrive at Netflix.

Experience & skills
10+ years of leadership experience in program or product management at a consumer focused technology or entertainment company Experience leading leaders, and teams that work cross-functionally.

Global acumen
– an ability to understand how consumer experiences and teams operate in a global environment Strong communication skills in multiple forums (one on one to large all hands) and formats (written, casual or formal presentations, team meetings, etc.) Proven ability to lead through change, ambiguity, and innovation.

Experience defining, building, and scaling a team.

Ability to collaborate, influence and partner effectively with senior internal stakeholders.

Superior operational management and organizational skills with an ability to translate complex ideas into simple and intuitive communications.
