Job Summary/Responsibilities

The Asset Advisory Services within AECOM is seeking an Architect III- Buildings Asset Management candidate to support several large building asset management projects and assist the team leaders in growing the business globally. This seasoned candidate should be able to demonstrate an established career in buildings-focused asset management and/or architecture. Our clients are wide-ranging, from large federal and local government agencies to private global companies- the one thing they have in common are large real estate portfolios that we help manage via technology implementation, strategy, physical assessment and capital planning.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and technical yet experienced enough to see the big picture and understand how building systems work in the real world. Our projects are large, complex and multidisciplinary, and our tight-knit team is characterized by people who are willing to stretch and learn. A keen interest in creating and implementing systems to manage large data sets and repeatable processes is also helpful. This is a team of self-starters who dont wait to be asked when a task is in front of them. A good sense of humor also helps.

We are willing to train a candidate in Asset Management practices who has a solid career in architecture and who meets our other criteria.

Some key tasks the Architect III- Buildings Asset Management hire will be performing include:

  • Technical writing and research for a major international asset management program

  • Performing work related to asset management and strategic planning, including building implementation projects from identified deficiencies and leading a data QAQC team

  • Occasionally leading field assessments

  • Implementation of/improvements to our proprietary digital enterprise asset management system for clients

  • Training field staff

  • Assisting with proposals

  • Directing tasks for more junior staff

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or Bachelors degree in Architecture elated experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years Bachelors degree in Architecture elated experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Licensed Architect (RA) in California or New York

  • Good written and verbal communication, including technical writing

  • IAM and/or PMP certification

  • Experience managing all phases of capital projects

  • Broad knowledge of building and construction, design, including advanced understanding of industry practices

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

  • Comfortable with learning and using digital data collection tools and online platforms.

  • Enterprise Asset Management System experience helpful.

  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.

  • The the salary range is $74,000-137,000
