OverviewSBM Management is hiring a Facilities Support Technician!
The Facilities Support Technician is responsible for assisting all departments with daily facility needs, including the Furniture Warehouse, the Signage Department, Conference Center Services and others.
The ideal candidate will be flexible and be able to work under pressure, meeting deadlines with high accuracy.Responsibilities* Respond to requests for room setups* Deliver, setup, knockdown and properly store furniture* Maintain daily tracking log sheet; track and report time spent on work orders* Install, remove, relocate and reinstall cork and/or white boards; dispose of damaged cork/white boards; wall mount oversized cork/white boards* Hang other items as necessary, including pictures, plaques and banners* Assemble office furniture; install keyboard trays* Respond to requests for materials in support of facilities maintenance contract personnel and vendors (locate material in inventory system, clarify proper selection, verify availability)* Pick, transport and/or store material (Operate pallet jack, forklift or flatbed)* Coordinate with Warehouse, O& M and Purchasing to generate parts orders* Receive material by checking against purchase order, packing slip, or bill of lading* Organize and re-organize materials as volumes and demand changes* Perform staging for late pickups for Preventive Maintenance* Deliver parts and furniture as needed* Deliver vehicles for maintenance and repair; respond to vehicle service requests by technicians in the field (deliver gas or spare tires, jump batteries, etc.)Qualifications* HS Diploma or GED* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, customers, employees and the general public* Experience operating a pallet jack, forklift and flatbed is preferred; forklift certification may be required* A valid driver’s license and clear driving record are required* Working knowledge of MS Office; Excel, Word, Outlook* Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus* Must be flexible, dependable, responsible, be able to manage work under pressure, have computer skills, supervising skills, be bilingual (English/Spanish), as well as writing.
Must have good attitude and communication with employees/customers, willing to adapt to the work, good attendance, knowledge of custodian, GMP, and Maintenance.Available Shift: Monday Friday 7:30am 4:30pmCompensation: The pay rate for this position is $18.00 per hour
