Sales Support Representative
Chinese Laundry is a privately held Los Angeles-based women’s footwear company. Chinese Laundry has grown from a small shoe manufacturer to a globally recognized fashion footwear distributor. Over the past three decades, we’ve grown to a family of four brands: Chinese Laundry, CL by Laundry, 42 Gold, and Dirty Laundry. Each brand offers a unique product to meet the needs of various consumers.
We are currently looking for a Sales Support Representative for our corporate office.
The Sales Support Representative is an essential member of our sales team partnering with the Sales Executives and assisting with the management of their territories’ business. This position supports both our sales team as well our major and independent retail partners.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong understanding of our product lines and the sales process
- Manage all the steps of the order process from order entry to fulfillment to timely shipping
- Review customers purchase orders to ensure that the terms and conditions are in agreement by confirming availability, pricing, and terms
- Review open order reports daily to identify any potential problems and communicating any issues or delays to the appropriate Sales Executive
- Update and amend orders as needed
- Establish and build strong professional relationships with wholesale accounts, members of the sales team and the operations team by responding promptly and courteously to any inquiries
- Work closely with the Credit and Collections team to resolve any problems with orders on credit hold
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 2-3 years of Sales Support in a wholesale fashion industry is required
- Experience in wholesale footwear is a plus
- Accurate data entry on AS400 and PC driven business programs
- Knowledge of EDI is a plus!
- Inside selling and problem solving as needed for order modifications
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft office suite
- Detail oriented with strong research and follow up skills
- Professional phone demeanor
- Excellent verbal and written skills for clear and concise communication to customers and internal departments within Chinese Laundry
- Strong multitasking abilities
- High degree of self-motivation and initiative
- College degree preferred but not required
