The Operations Support Specialist provides support to station operations in a variety of team member focused capacities including timekeeping, scheduling, and staffing (resource planning). Duties for this role can be related to short-term daily operations and/or long-term resource planning activities.
This position includes three levels (I, II, II), starting at a level I, entry-level role, which can progress to higher levels of II and III based on skills, knowledge, abilities, and duties (cross-training). New hires may start at a higher level as qualified. Depending on the station, incumbents may specialize in activities or complete a variety of daily duties in the areas of timekeeping, scheduling, and staffing. Station working titles may include Timekeeper, Scheduler, and Staffing Specialist.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to rectify and resolve open timecard exceptions with timekeeping software within 24 hours
- Ensure time and attendance records are submitted on every employee within established deadlines
- Reviews timecards to ensure compliance with reporting policy and for accuracy of timekeeping calculations
- Perform a variety of clerical duties including typing, filing, record keeping, proofreading, and processing information
- Maintain a variety of logs, records, and files including compiling information from a variety of sources and preparing summaries and reports including related to attendance and enrollment data
- Maintain and process daily Time Exception forms and Timecard logs
- Prepare and organize trade request and overtime documentation
- Organize and distribute paychecks and paystubs to team members
- Assure the timely duplication and distribution of a variety of records, reports and other materials as directed
Staffing and Scheduling
- Responsible for updating and oversight of the current staffing schedule
- Monitor the flight schedule to ensure highest internal staffing utilization
- Interacts with team members and processes operation reassignments and crew swaps
- Provide solutions for current and upcoming operations regarding shift assignments and provide solutions to the operational leadership team
- Coordinates shift bids to meet operational needs and according to labor agreement requirements
- Monitors situations through times of irregular operations and unscheduled events to recommend staffing adjustments
Other

QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of one (1) year of successful experience related to scheduling and/or time and attendance or resource (staffing) planning experience required
- Two or more years of relevant experience required for II and III levels
- Proficient to advanced level Microsoft Excel experience required depending on job level
- Proven ability to successfully interact with team members and leadership in a fast-paced and often rapidly changing environment
- Broad understanding of airline operations preferred
- Must work with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays
- Detail oriented mindset a must
- Hands-on, high energy approach essential
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
