Find your future with us.Boeing is looking for a Mid-level Electrical Systems Fleet Support Engineer based out of Seal Beach, CA , to assist airline customers in the resolution of in-service technical problems and issues related to Electrical Systems; power generation, power distribution, battery technology, lighting systems, electromagnetic effects and electrical wiring interconnect systems.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product life-cycle.
  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

This position is expected to be onsite with the option for virtual days based on Statement of Work.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.

§ 120.15 is required.

“US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Avionics and or Electrical Engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working directly with 7-series aircraft is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience interpreting wiring diagrams and troubleshooting airplane systems.
  • Project management experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience of Electrical Wire Design, Wire Installation or Equipment installation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in Design Engineering, Service Engineering, Field Service, Maintenance Engineering, or Customer Support is preferred.
  • Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience.
  • Desire to continuously improve our airplanes.

Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
