Job Description Desktop Support Technician Rate: $24.00/HR W2, contract, 2 months Location: Los Angeles, CA 90089 Project: Technicians will replace the UPS devices at Campus Buildings
– UPS devices will be provided.
Two techs will be required for each replacement
– Each UPS weighs in excess of 50 lbs.
Experience installing UPS and AP devices helpful Responsibilities:
– Installation of Eaton 5PX (500) and 9PX (?10) UPS devices as part of a 2 tech team.
– Expectation is to complete 5 installs per day.
– Working with a team to install UPS devices
– Project started July 22 (in progress) and will end when all 500 UPS devices are installed.
– Shift will be 8 am 5 pm.
– Reliability and punctuality is a job expectation thru project end.
Must report to work on-time and ahead of shift start.
– For continuity candidates are expected to be continuously available thru project period and avoid high risk activities that could cause injury and prevent them from being able to continue on the project due to disruption.
– Tech must be physically able to lift 75 lbs.

A great part of the position will be a labor intensive process.
– The UPS devices are racked at the bottom of the racks.
– Stack and rack experience preferred and should be reflected on resume
– Knowledge of infrastructure is a plus.
Previous experience in UPS turn up is preferred, but not required.
– Position is customer facing.
Candidate must be presentable, courteous, and patient.
