The Customer Support Specialist is the first point of contact for customers and business partners of the Process Automation, Business Area (BA) Function Information Services in Westerville, Ohio.

Reporting to the Process Automation (PA) Service Tools Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring support queues and answering customer requests as well as coordinating response to customer incidents.

Your responsibilities Serves internal and external customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems Creates customer accounts by recording account information and entering account information into the appropriate systems Maintains customer records by updating customer information in the appropriate systems Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customers complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment and following up to ensure resolution Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Review technical documentation and maintain knowledge about software releases Acts as communicator between product development team and customers when needed to resolve customer issues Limited on call support when a critical application issue arises Coordinate the response for application incidents with the responsible teams Post patching server check once per month (on Sunday) Perform other duties as deemed relevant, based upon experience Your background Associates Degree a minimum of 5 years experience in demonstrated, outward facing customer support roles Scientific or Engineering experience a plus Proven ability to take direction, but work independently Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders; must be a team player who works well with technical and non technical resources Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US Benefits Retirement plan Life insurance Disability insurance Medical insurance Wellbeing program More about us “Our Process Automation business offers a range of solutions for process and hybrid industries, including our industry-specific integrated automation, electrification and digital solutions, control technologies, software and advanced services, as well as measurement & analytics, marine and turbocharging offerings.
