Customer Service Representative

Calumet processes crude oil and other feedstocks into customized lubricating oils, solvents and waxes used in consumer, industrial and automotive products and produces fuel products including gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.

POSITION SUMMARY:
 

Provides exceptional service to customers by processing incoming orders accurately and timely.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives and verifies purchase orders via e-mail
  • Ensures the appropriate customer and billing information is correct within the order
  • Enters purchase orders into SAP timely, with a high degree of accuracy
  • Reviews orders for completeness to include accuracy and product availability prior to releasing order to customer
  • Follow-up with customers as needed to validate/confirm purchase order questions
  • Monitors open orders and notifies internal and or external customers for updates regarding account or payment status
  • Tracks customer orders from placement to completion
  • Forwards customer complaints to the appropriate individual for notification and/or assistance
  • Requires general knowledge of the organization, product and order to cash process within the system
  • Supports the strategic and operational direction of the business
  • Other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 or more years of professional experience
  • 10-Key and data entry skills a must

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy
  • Self-motivated and detailed-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively work with individuals both inside and outside the company
  • Fosters positive work relationships and is a solid team player
  • Able to complete projects in a timely manner and get results

POSITION PREFERENCES:

  • 1 or more years of related customer service and/or order entry experience
