We are looking for a customer service representative to join our team in Irwindale, California. Job summary: Represent Davis Wire Corporation in the capacity of Customer Sales and Service Representative through coordination with Field Sates personnel, Scheduling, Production, Quality Assurance, Physical Distribution and Invoicing Departments. This person is the primary sales contact with external customers within a determined product group. Essential duties and responsibilities: Enter new orders and order changes Confirm pricing and terms Maintain open order reports Handle customer inquiries regarding order pricing and scheduling. Receive and respond to telephone and e-mail inquiries from customers The Customer Sales and Service Representative works to establish a professional and personable identity with the customer, thereby developing a beneficial understanding of the customer’s particular order requirements, pricing concerns, shipping objectives, and order follow-up necessities. They work with the Field Sales staff, receiving and distributing messages and fulfilling field sales and customer requests. May be asked to participate in customer visits, tours, dinners, and other requirements. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Education and/or experience: Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school – 4 Year college degree preferred. Six months to one-year related experience preferred. Will consider experience in lieu of degree. Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Spanish fluency a plus, but not required. Mathematical skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions and percentages. Reasoning ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems and resolving customers issues. Computer skills: Must be capable of using Microsoft 365, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Other skills and abilities: The right candidate will be assertive and goal oriented. They will be organized, capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities and interface effectively with personnel from other departments.
