nn nn nnThe Field Support Technician in Technology Services, Information Technology is primarily responsible for providing network, system and application support to Windows and MAC end-users.
This position is also responsible for providing application support, maintenance and upgrades as well as troubleshooting and resolving PC, printers, software and peripheral problems.nn nn nn nn Responsibilities: nn Perform computer equipment moves, configurations and software installation.
Maintain all Local Area Network (LAN) hardware in a fully operational condition.
LAN hardware includes, but not limited to, file servers, hubs, switches, routers and all cabling.
Establish network connectivity for internet and LAN.
Train all users as required on changes or enhancements to the network.
Maintain records of the status of all projects, as well as any problems encountered during the daily operations of the network.
Responsible for supporting Citrix client software for Studio departments and Production clients.
Develop functional and technical specifications according to user requirements.
Perform system administration including analysis, evaluation, maintenance and general support for financial application systems.
Interface with outside vendors to analyze and address system issues.
nn n nn nn Qualifications: nn Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience in related environment.
Minimum 2 years working experience in IT technical support.
Must have knowledge of networking and data communication technologies.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills heavy client contact and interface with Studio operating departments and Studio Production clients.
Strong PC skills in a local area network environment with productivity software.
Knowledge and experience on various operating systems (MS Windows, MAC OS and Linux).
Knowledge and experience on internet/network concepts, protocols and applications on LAN, WLAN and WAN (IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Email, VoIP, Firewall, Routing, Switching, VLAN).
