Client Support Services
Position Description – Temporary with the possibility of extension. FT/PT Weekday and Weekend, All Shifts.
The Client Support Services will be responsible for working directly with participants to meet their daily needs in a safe and secure environment. Services are offered at a hotel that has been designated by LA County to support individuals who are experiencing homelessness and are vulnerable to COVID-19. Position is required to strictly follow all PPE guidelines.
Client Support Services provide immediate support to participants, along with crisis intervention, conflict resolution and other duties as needed or assigned by program staff. In addition, this position also ensures the safety and security of Project RoomKey participants during, morning, evening and weekend hours.

Program Responsibilities:
Maintain a calm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere within the hotel facility promoting a clean, orderly and healthy environment at all times.
Collaborate with LAHSA and other Homeless Services Partners to process client intakes.
Supervise daily operations of the hotel and provide support services to all program participants documenting all client encounters and services provided in HMIS; maintain resident case files up to date.
Assist with room inspections, relaying program information, meeting reminders, referrals, meal delivery, etc.
Ensure there are no gatherings around the hotel facility.
Monitor and document resident compliance with program rules and guidelines, including room inspections, daily sign-in and screening and adherence to program curfew.
Maintain all logs, required documentation, vehicle use log and any other forms of record keeping in a timely and accurate manner, including proper storage of information.
Promptly and accurately reports any issues and concerns regarding participants to Lead Site Director, Site Director or Project Manager
Provide report of any incidents occurring during daily shift in writing. Assist with conflict resolution by modeling and encouraging positive methods of problem-solving, respectful communication and self-restraint.
Maintain and execute confidential information according to HIPAA standards.
Attend staff trainings and department meetings as needed and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Ability to maintain regular, consistent attendance
Employment Eligibility Verification
Qualifications:
Knowledge of homelessness support services desired
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with advanced and evidenced based intervention
Flexible, adaptable and capable of working in a fast paced, professional environment
Availability to work early mornings, evening and weekends as requested by management, and based on the operational needs of the Project Room Key program
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Engagement and rapport building with hard to reach clients
Ability to work independently and as part the team
Ability to exercise mature and professional judgment
Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills
A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks
Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA confidentiality requirements
