ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY AND SUPPORT OPERATIONS

The Position: Under the supervision of the Director of Enrollment Management Technology, the incumbent will be responsible for providing project management leadership demonstrating positive outcomes of coordinating, managing, delivering projects, monitoring activities and tasks related to Enrollment Management Technology projects and initiatives. This includes facilitating the effective use of campus Enterprise Resource Planning technology utilized by the campus departments, colleges, staff, administrators, and students. The Associate Director of Technology and Support Operations works closely with the division directors, associate directors, analysts, and staff to ensure both business and technical analysis, determine scope, and provide support and training for functional end users on software and hardware systems within the campus community. The Associate Director of Technology and Support Operations will develop and present workshops/knowledge transfer for specific technology initiatives and strategies and participate in and promote a culture of continuity and quality improvement. The Associate Director will serve on various University committees, work with consultants and vendors, and partner with third-party partners in evaluating and troubleshooting Enrollment Management Technology initiatives and technologies. A primary campus partner would be working with the Information Technology Services (ITS) department on technical projects, coordination, communication, and ensuring that Enrollment Services projects are on track and in line with the Universitys mission and initiatives. The incumbent is expected to have frequent, cordial interaction with campus administrators, staff, faculty, and off-campus partners. They will drive communication, execution of project objectives, engage in follow-up, take the initiate on resolve, and report back appropriately and when necessary.

Required Qualifications & Experience: A bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university and three years of increasingly responsible experience leading technology projects related to student administration Enterprise Resource Planning systems in higher education, including related tools and databases. The incumbent must have demonstrated implementation and business process re-engineering experience with software solutions for education-related information systems (e.g., advising systems, course/room scheduling, analytics, etc.). The incumbent must also have effective presentation, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the California State University. Desired Qualifications: A masters degree from an accredited four-year college or university or advanced study of information systems in higher education. Managerial or supervisory experience overseeing a project and technical team. Experience with student success collaborative software (EAB) or closely related advising software packages, imaging and data systems, PeopleSoft Student Administration ERP, and related reporting tools is highly desired. Experience working within or with the California State University System.

Appointment: The Administrator II appointment will be made under the guidelines for management and supervisory employees of the California State University. All rights and benefits associated with this appointment are governed by the Management Personnel Plan.
