Ardurra is seeking a Construction Manager/Project Manager/Resident Engineer  to join our Public Works Group in Los Angeles, CA.

Primary Function

Ideal candidates will have previous experience in site infrastructure projects, observing contractor’s construction activities, and reviewing work for compliance with drawings and specifications.

Knowledge of, and ability to interpret, technical specifications, contract requirements, engineering drawings, and standard construction details are critical requirements of the position.

Primary Duties
Responsibilities will include observing that the work is completed in general accordance with the drawings and specifications, daily field reporting, tracking contractor’s installed quantities, witnessing tests, documenting test results and serving as liaison between engineer and contractor.

Typical projects involve the construction of municipal water and wastewater utilities and master infrastructure using various construction methods, construction of water and wastewater treatment structures and equipment installation, as well as mechanical and structural rehabilitation’s for residential subdivision projects as well as commercial projects.

Qualified candidates may work on one or more projects simultaneously, located in the Los Angeles area.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar.

5-15 years in the Construction field or Construction Management/Field Services.

Background in California Building Code structural and/or plumbing inspections preferred.

Background in structural, mechanical, and piping construction required.

Familiarization with local municipalities and their respective site development construction observation and construction completion certification requirements.

ACAD a plus but not a requirement.
