Find your future with us.The Boeing Van Nuys Part 145 Wheel and Brake Repair station is looking for a Mid-Level Aircraft Assembler, that will tear down and clean aircraft wheels, brake assemblies and components for corporate aircraft. Location is Van Nuys, CA.Position Responsibilities:* Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):* Able to lift/carry up to 35 pounds; push/pull using up to 45 pounds of force; and reach overhead up to six hours per day* 1+ years with various types of hand held power tools* Knowledge of aircraft mechanical component and repair proceduresPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):* Currently enrolled full time or part time in an A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) certificate program.Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years’ related work, Bachelor, etc.).Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
