Mechanical Assembler

We are hiring for Electro-mechanical Assemblers in Van Nuys for
2nd Shift: 3:30pm-11pm
Job Requirements:
* Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a part, machine, or piece of equipment.
* Making suggestions on current schematics and mechanical drawings is also encouraged.
* Test the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test instruments. Test to include functionality of finished goods using calibrated testing equipment.
* Melts and applies solder along adjoining edges of workpieces to solder joints, using soldering iron with, both, lead free solder (Sn 96.5%, Ag 3%, Cu .5%) and leaded solder (Sn 60%, Pb 40%). Tinning would be performed using the same types of solder.
* Must wear appropriate ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) equipment such as ESD smock, wrist strap and foot strap.
* Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors on a daily basis. This is to include quantity tagged with du-ration.
* Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
* Reads and interprets schematics assembles parts and tools, and fits electronic components together.
* Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
* General understanding of electrical power flow
* Comfortable with repetitive task

Qualifications and Education
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• 1 or more years of hands on experience in the assembly of dimming controls and wireless DMX connectivity equipment (preferred)
