Machine Operator – Level 3 – Forming (Italian) 1st Shift

Overview: Starting at $21.00/hr.

The Machine Operator A
– Forming will operate forming equipment to produce a variety of pasta products within customer and company specifications.

Essential functions of this job include but are not limited to: monitoring pasta characteristics and adjusting machine controls as needed to ensure desired characteristics are met.

Responsibilities: Assures that all preparations, machine set ups and adjustments ar completed prior to scheduled start up.Set machine controls/adjustments in accordance with company standards and specifications Sets machine controls/adjustments in accordance with the wetness, texture, color, workability of raw material being used (i.e.

filling weights, finger, stamper, shoe, roller, etc.) in a timely and proficient manner.Accurately prepare reports as necessary or requested including recording of down time and HACCP documentation.Records all statistical process control data and makes adjustments as needed.Assures that all product formed by machine meets company standards.Makes product change overs in a timely and proficient manner, including tear down of equipment.Learn to proficiently operate all new forming equipment assigned.Communicate with relief person or at shift change concerning situations that have or may impact production operations.Perform work within Company quality standards and governmental regulatory standards.Understand Company quality standards for product defects and immediately report excessive defect levels to the Team Leader.Demonstrate good working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Sanitation Practices (GSP).Report all unsafe work conditions or acts to shift Team Leader or Manager.Follow all safety rules and regulations.Practice 5s and clean as you go.Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: JOB QUALIFICATIONS:A High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience in a food manufacturing plant is preferredGood communication skills (reading, writing and verbal) are essential to interface with co-workers, Team Leaders and ManagersMust be willing to work together with co-workers as part of a team; also, must be self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervisionPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee will be working in cold temperatures.
