The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Perform on-site construction inspections to verify compliance with plans and specifications during construction.
Coordinate construction work activities with other members of the project team.
Performs field measurements of construction work items and calculates quantities of for contractor payment.
Prepares daily diaries and work reports, tracking workforce labor and equipment and working conditions Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.
Performs entry level work.
Follows instructions to accomplish task assigned by senior staff.
Meets required schedules while producing quality work.
Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study Intern 3
– completion of three years of qualified study Minimum Requirements Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction engineering or related field with the intent to continue enrollment after an internship Must have completed three years of study in the applicable program Valid Driver’s License Preferred Qualifications Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Prior experience on civil construction projects such as bridges and roadways.
Willing to spend the majority of time outdoors on a construction site.
Additional Information: Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
The hourly range for this position is $18.04
