A DAY IN THE LIFE: Perform commissioning on controlled environment projects, including mechanical, electrical, controls, and irrigation systems.

Create pre-commissioning equipment checklists that verify proper and quality system installation.Create commissioning test scripts that verify correct operation of the installed systems.Act as the link between design and construction teams; coordinate system design and installation with clients, subcontractors, and equipment vendors in a way that ensures the seamless turnover of a controlled environment project.Review controls designs at a very granular level and provide solutions on the required changes needed to meet the design intent.

Lead project commissioning meetings that accurately set expectations and coordinate schedules for all trades.Effectively convey information to onsite superintendents and subcontractors using employee’s knowledge of the project’s systems.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (with a focus in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar) & a minimum GPA of 3.24 years of experience in either building commissioning or controls engineeringPreferred certification in building commissioning (BCxA, CCP, QxA, or similar)Strong understanding of engineering principles (HVAC, thermodynamics, heat transfer)Comfortable with spending time on construction jobsite – approximately 30%Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to successfully work on ownExcellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with different types of individualsFamiliar with construction practices and principles MAKE YOUR MOVE: We are proud to be one of the fastest-growing, privately-owned companies in America, celebrating over 29 years of experience as design-build experts.
