Job SummaryThis is a part-time position for a General Contractor who specializes in repair/rebuilding and new installation of doors and windows in historic homes.There is opportunity for advancement; training in business principles; learning the “in’s and out’s” of finish carpentry in regard to door and window restoration, repair and new installation.Responsibilities and Duties• Unloading truck and setting up work-stations for job• Extracting tools and materials from truck when called upon• Assist in carrying doors and windows into and through home and work area• Protection of work-site furniture, floors, window coverings and drapes, etc.• Tool maintenance when not assisting Journeymen• End of day clean-up of residence worksite and work-stationsQualifications and Skills• A background in construction• Knowledge and use of electrical hand tools (drills, sanders, nail guns, etc.)• Having your own carpentry tools and knowing how to use them is a must.• Detailed oriented, neat and well groomed.• Command of English language• Minimum height of six feet is optimal.
