HIRING IMMEDIATELY DIRECT HIRE, 1st SHIFT JOB SUMMARY Responsible for all parts material handling in the shipping and receiving operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Performs daily and other required checks on powered fork trucks, etc and documents results and follows through with maintenance reporting.
Complies with all company, OSHA and other appropriate regulations.
· Safe operations of the powered industrial truck and ensures that pedestrians have the right of way.
· Keeps track and maintains records on incoming and outgoing parts as assigned by Materials Manager.
Inputs information into computer when required.
· Supplies parts and other material proactively to the production and shipping areas as needed in a safe manner.
· Directs movement of materials to appropriate areas: shipping platform, receiving, storage, etc.
· Performs other duties and assignments as deemed necessary or appropriate.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or GED.
· 2-5 years experience driving a forklift or powered industrial truck preferred.
· Experience with overhead cranes preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Prefer previous certification as a forklift driver in a manufacturing environment.
