SDC 2000 Administrative Assistant

Job Summary: Amentum is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the SDC 2000 located at the Bluegrass Chemical Agent Destruction Pilot Plant Project located in Richmond, Kentucky.

Typical Responsibilities include:Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employeesPerform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulationsMay be required to work overtime or varying hours to include shift workBe at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance recordWork in close proximity to and or in a chemical demilitarization facilityResponsible for providing complex administrative support to SDC 2000 managementWork independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and presentation materialsRead publications, regulations, and directives and take action or refer those that are important to SDC 2000 management and staff as appropriatePrepare special or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, correspondence, other offices, etc.

under general directionScreen telephone calls, visitors, and incoming correspondence; personally respond to requests for information concerning office procedures; determine which request should be handled by the supervisor, appropriate staff member or other offices, and prepare routine not-technical correspondenceSchedule tentative appointments without prior clearance.

Make arrangements for conferences and meetings and assemble established background materials as directed.

May attend meetings record and report on the proceedingsReview outgoing materials and correspondence for internal consistency and conformance with SDC 2000 procedures; assure that proper clearances have been obtained when neededCollect information from the files or staff for routine inquires on office programs or periodic reports, and refer non-routine requests to the responsible individual(s)Perform and maintain the munitions accountability recordsMaintain and update spreadsheets to produce certificate of destruction, record munitions, reject data and provide various munitions data reportsPerform other collateral duties as assigned for the operations of the SDC 2000 and BGCAPP main plant projectsThis position is designated as an unescorted access position and is subject to the requirements of the Unescorted Access Program (UAP).

As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents must favorably complete a personnel security investigation, urinalysis testing, respiratory screening, and must meet and maintain personnel suitability and reliability requirements established by the Blue Grass Army Depot Commander.

SDC at BGCAPP is subject to Army Regulations (AR 50-6 Chemical Surety Program and AR190-59 Unescorted Access Program) which govern persons performing work under the Chemical Personnel Reliability Program (CPRP) and unescorted Access Program (UAP).

Eligibility to be placed in a CPRP or UAP position requires US citizenship.

Employees must favorably complete a series of screenings to include but not limited to: a National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) security investigation, drug/alcohol testing and medical examination.

All employees are subject to and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of continued employment for the duration of their assignment.

Respiratory screening and the ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) may be required for this position.

The ability to obtain/maintain access to the Blue Grass Army Depot is required.

FSGSG Minimum Requirements: Basic Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years’ advanced secretarial, clerical, and administrative experienceMinimum Qualifications:Must be a United States or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) site accessMust be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipmentMust maintain fitness-for-duty standards to perform the essential functions of the position, to include any depot or BGCAPP drill, contingency and/or emergency requirementMust have thorough and extensive knowledge of office practices and proceduresProficiency in preparation of slide presentations using PowerPoint or comparable software applications Must be able to have above average communication skills, ability to work effectively with both employees and managersAbility to convey a positive and professional imageAbility to multi-task and prioritize work to meet deadlinesMust be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills with ability to coordinate and prioritize projects, adapting to change as they occurMust be able to solve complex problems and understand the impact of decisions upon the operation of the facility Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor degree in a business or related fieldExperience in providing administrative support for executive-level managementHigh proficiency in the full Microsoft Office SuiteDemonstrated ability to learn new software packages
