Principal Administrative Analyst – Payroll (District Temp)

Job Overview:As a Principal Administrative Analyst in this temporary (18 month) assignment you will be responsible for analyzing Metropolitan’s current payroll system and processes.

Your subject matter expertise in payroll and payroll systems will be used to develop improvements and process changes to align with current law and CalPERS rules.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: defining payroll management and user requirements; documenting payroll enterprise-wide process improvements; researching complex and difficult payroll problems and needs, and generate solutions which may include systems modifications, enhancements or new procedures, investigate and resolve system functional errors and perform as a business analyst.

You’ll also have the opportunity to work with PeopleSoft Human Capital Management, benefits administration, core human resources tables (SQL, SQR, App Engine etc.), and excel functions including: pivot tables, formulas, charts, and vertical lookup.

To view the full job description click here: Principal Administrative Analyst EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, and eight years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, and six years of relevant experience; or two years in a MWD Senior Analyst classification.

Relevant Experience is defined as: working knowledge of payroll systems and experience processing payroll.
