Department Administrative Manager

Responsibilities

The Clinical Operations Manager of the Santa Monica Hospital Radiology General Diagnostic and Acute Care Imaging in concert with the Section/Division Medical Director(s) and Clinical Director will be accountable for developing and implementing short and long-term plans to improve the overall operation of the hospital licensed general diagnostic service and promoting quality, cost effective patient care.

You will maintain open, collaborative, responsive and consultative working relationships with the staff and faculty within Radiology, peer Managers, as well as personnel from other sections and departments to provide timely patient care services.

Qualifications

Certifications and required experience:

ARRT

CRT

BCLS

At least 5 or more years experience within associated radiology specialty (At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity within Radiology preferred)

Consistently interacts with all members of the organization in ways that enhance understanding, respect, cooperation and problem solving both within and outside of the Hospital System.
Demonstrates written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations governing Medical Center activities, including University policies and procedures, Medicare/Medi-Cal reimbursement.
Demonstrates ongoing commitment to meeting affirmative action goals in recruitment, selection and development of staff.
Demonstrates maintained technical expertise in assigned clinical area including an operation of a variety of imaging equipment.
Knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Radiology Information Systems and Hospital Information Systems.
