As an Administrative Manager, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude.
The successful Administrative Manager must have excellent leadership and team-building skills, the ability to lead multiple teams (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision making) necessary for effective management, and knowledge of project management principles with the demonstrated ability to develop, implement and manage large, long-term projects.
The ideal candidate will also have the advanced ability to facilitate discussion and consensus-based decision making, to work in a team environment with a customer service focus, and to manage work of others to ensure compliance and accuracy.
The Administrative Manager will serve as a central resource for the Business Development Leadership Team.
You will be responsible for providing administrative, operational, project management, and communications support to the Chief and Director Leadership team, including the coordination and status of inter-departmental projects and initiatives.
You will also lead the implementation of new administrative procedures and strategies that are consistent with the goals and objectives of the firm.
In this role you will also:
Act as a trusted advisor and a resource for the BD Chief and Director Leadership team.
Serve as a project manager to the BD Chief and Director leadership team for special projects, including projects that may require cross department coordination and regularly update the Global Project Management Tool Be a point-of-contact to others at the firm regarding the administrative responsibilities of the BD Department, including but not limited to managing department calendar and department SharePoint site, drafting agendas and managing deliverables for BD leadership meeting, drafting announcements and other department communications.
Consult with key stakeholders, preparing analysis, proposals and recommendations including reports, financial/ budget (OPEX and Headcount) reports, and presentations to senior management in the department.
Serve as a project manager to the BD Chief and Director Leadership team for special projects, including projects that may require cross department coordination and regularly update the Global Project Management Tool.
Provide logistical support which includes coordinating meeting materials, recording meeting minutes, and providing follow-up on agreed actions.
Develop and maintain strong, interactive relationships with all members of the department and other administrative groups, particularly Finance, Technology, Attorney Development, and Human Resources for training programs and roundtables, and relying on these positive relationships to identify areas where firm resources can be leveraged in new and creative ways to implement the strategies and plans.

The Manager must have advanced communication skills, both written and verbal, strong analytical skills, and the ability to define problems/issues while using a logical approach to develop and implement appropriate solutions.
The successful candidate will have the ability to perceive and analyze complex problems, and a capacity to make or recommend sound decisions, as well as advanced organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines.
The candidate must also have excellent computer and technical skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, and other programs necessary to complete thorough analyses and reports.
The Administrative Manager – Business Development will receive a generous total compensation package.

A minimum of five (5) years of management/supervisory experience at a professional services organization is desired.
A Bachelor’s degree is required.
