Administrative Assistant, Distressed Debt

ResponsibilitiesBased in downtown Los Angeles, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to a few members on the Opportunities Group.Responsibilities include:Assisting with the processing, review and execution of legal contractsManaging onboarding of e-billing of legal invoices produced within the Opportunities Group and initial processing of such legal invoicesAnswering, screening and managing incoming phone calls, faxes and mail;Drafting correspondence and memos, and assisting in preparing presentations;Reviewing, preparing and managing expense reports;Updating, revising and reviewing the quarterly compliance reports and maintaining the signature requirements;Maintaining the filing system;Printing out various periodicals, articles and online journals and distributing them to the group;Maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, and conference calls;Handling reception coverage, as needed; andPerforming other administrative tasks as required.QualificationsMinimum 2 years relevant experience, preferably in financial or legal services;Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; andProven ability to manage tasks with competing priorities and deadlines, independently determining order of priority and self initiating other value-added tasks..Personal AttributesOutstanding initiative and a strong work ethic;Responsible with a strong sense of dedication;Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;Ability to work well under pressure and with time constraints and to adapt to new work requirements or settings as needed;Has outstanding organization skills with high attention-to-detail; andTeam-oriented with strong integrity and professionalism.EducationBachelor”s degree is required.Equal Opportunity Employment PolicyOaktree is committed to diversity and to equal opportunity employment.
