DescriptionAmerican Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the Legal & Contracts department.
This position will provide support to the in-house legal team, including administrative support, research, and other functions and provide similar support to the other departments that report to Legal.Remote Worker Considerations: Candidates who are selected for this position will be trained virtually and must have the capability to work from home in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment.
This position will require occasional onsite office work.
ASH requires all onsite employees and employees who travel for their position to either (a) establish that they have been fully vaccinated; or (b) obtain an approved exemption as an accommodation.ResponsibilitiesProvides professional-level administrative support.Maintains calendar for material deadlines.Provides calendar support for multiple positions.Serves as backup for Legal Assistant.Arranges and assists in planned meetings; prepares summaries of meetings and conferences as needed or directed.Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.Strong editing and written communication skills.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.Assist with the development and maintenance of department manuals, documents, templates.Communicate with outside counsel and opposing party legal offices.Perform various administrative functions for Legal department and related personnel, including expense reports, travel arrangements, meeting coordination, scheduling, processing invoices, and communicating with other departments.QualificationsAssociates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
