Administrative Assistant

Job Description D Venture Group, Inc., with numerous retail stores throughout the bay area, is currently seeking an administrative assistant who will provide support and management of multiple responsibilities.

The position, based in the Marina Bay area of Richmond, CA, requires a detailed, organized, and insightful individual who works well in a team-oriented environment.

This is a supportive role within the company and involves tasks with multiple departments.
• Excellent data entry
• Ability to learn software quickly
• Communicates with warehouse and store(s) regarding incoming products and product information.
• Responsible for SKU setup/SKU maintenance
• Performs vendor account maintenance duties.

File business documents and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Works with the purchasing team to update weekly and monthly reports
• Assist the purchasing team with processing and tracking of purchase orders
• Communicate with the purchasing team regarding order status and costing/SKU worksheets
• Arranges meetings; takes meeting minutes
• Communicates with the warehouse team, store management, inventory associates regarding any product updates or price changes
• Assist with periodic inventory audit
• Works with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies
• Actively work with the purchasing department to organize and track credit requests
• Performs other duties as assignedQualifications:
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• General knowledge of office administrative operations such as telephone system, copier, and scanner
• Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
• Effective with time management, ability to work independently and is detail oriented
• Highly organized and detailed-oriented individual
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude
• Purchasing and inventory experience a plusWorking Conditions:
• Work is conducted within the office, with regular visits to the warehouse floor as needed
• Longer hours of work may be necessary, depending on workload or season
• Prolonged sitting, standing, moderate reaching and occasionally lifting 25-40 lbs
• Punctuality and good attendance are a necessity to promote a positive team environment and accomplish ongoing goals.
