VP of Finance

Growing manufacturer is looking for a VP of Finance to add to their team.

This candidate can work remote, would prefer someone living in the Southern California region.

Reporting to the CFO and serving as an integral member of the management team, the Vice President of Finance be responsible for processing the financial activities of the company to maximize profits and plan for its growth.

This role includes analyzing data and advising the executive team on ways to use that information to make strategic decisions about the organization’s future.

Responsibilities:

· Continuous disclosure, including consolidated interim and annual financial statements and related MD&A

· Special disclosure requirements, including audits, purchase price allocation, and other items related to acquisitions or operations within multiple states

· Managing financial and administrative aspects on acquisitions (financial due diligence and integration processes, coordinating all filing requirements, managing multi-national lawyers and auditors, etc.)

· Consolidation of the financial statements, quarterly and annual

· Preparing financial reports to the CFO, audit committee and board

· Planning and coordination of review and audit engagements, TSXV compliance and management of relationships with auditors, working closely with the Company’s operating controller

· Managing income tax planning and compliance for the consolidated group of companies (income, payroll and other)

· Ensuring transfer pricing transactions are properly and accurately executed and that appropriate supporting documentation is prepared

· Managing insurance requirements for the consolidated group of companies

· Preparing budgets and forecasts for the corporate and finance departments for inclusion in the group’s consolidated budget and forecast

· Managing treasury and foreign exchange; monitoring cash balances throughout the group

· Managing equity financing filings (due diligence processes, primary contact with counsel, etc.)

· Ensuring timely and accurate management and other internal reporting including preparation of the monthly management reporting package

· Effecting appropriate processes and controls within the finance group designed to provide reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of the objectives relating to operations, reporting and compliance

· Managing local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

Requirements

· Proven working experience as a VP Finance

· 5-10 years accounting experience in public practice accounting

· 1-3 industry experience, manufacturing, or related field an asset

· 3-5 years additional accounting experience in industry, in manufacturing or related field

· Advanced accounting degree

· CPA license required

· Through knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

· Experience in consolidations, multi-state organizations, acquisitions accounting

Pay: $150,000.00
– $175,000.00 per year
