The Role

We’re actively searching for a VP of Finance to join our team during a period of rapid growth and product development. We’re looking for someone who will drive the company’s financial vision, direction, guidance, and compliance to support successful company operations. We’re excited to add an executive to our finance team to work alongside our CEO and leadership team to plan, forecast and lead investor relations. Ideally you have a tenure at another high growth technology company. If you have experience with physical products, e-commerce, manufacturing and/or supply chain, that’s a big plus.

In this high-visibility role, you will partner with the CEO and the leadership team to enable effective decision-making, execution and communication strategies are deployed across the company. Our executive team is very collaborative and creative, so we’re looking for a person who enjoys being part of a team who sets ambitious goals and drives the team forward to meet and exceed them. We’re looking for a highly motivated, organized person who will internally lead Texino as a thought partner and leader on finance topics. As a key leader in the organization, you will enable healthy discourse, analysis and discussion amongst teams, synthesizing large amounts of information and data, distilling them into actionable insights for the leadership team to drive operational strategy across the business. As a manufacturing company engaging in van conversions and van rentals, our financial considerations are complex. Someone who is highly creative will truly shine in this role, given that our business model provides much flexibility in terms of creative finance arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the accurate reporting of company financials, forecasts and companywide metrics to our executive team
  • Prepare all financial statements and reports needed for investor relations and for internal stakeholders to make timely and informed decisions
  • Own, update, and edit the financial forecast model alongside the CEO
  • Direct financing strategies, analysis, forecasting and budget management.
  • Build relationships with top vendors and financial partners
  • Manage customer and supplier payment terms decision making, helping relevant teams understand the impact of terms on cash
  • Manage current finance team: a highly organized outsourced finance team, including a bookkeeper, senior accountant and controller
  • Build out the finance team at Texino, determining the necessity of roles to be filled and recruiting for the finance team as Texino scales
  • Act as a thought partner to other executives, providing financial information to them to help make key decisions and implement process improvements
  • Hold executive team accountable for budgets
  • Manage state tax laws and compliance
  • Oversee equity options and valuations
  • Review key contracts, legal documents, and agreements to identify financial impact of terms on liability and cash flows
  • Optimize cash flow and cash management
  • Anticipate challenges and help Texino scale through effective resource management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA a plus
  • 8+ years professional work experience in relevant finance roles
  • Experience in manufacturing, automotive industry and/or supply chain is preferred * Strong executive leadership skills
  • Very hands-on and comfortable working in the fast-paced environment of a startup, ability to collaborate with other executives directly to build systems and problem solve
