The VP, Finance is the key partner to the CFO and leadership team and will drive the company ‘s financial vision, direction, guidance, and compliance to support successful company operations. As VP, Finance and Analysis, the incumbent will help manage the company ‘s corporate finance activities, corporate business planning and financial analysis.

In this high-visibility role, you will partner with the CFO and the leadership team to ensure effective decision-making, execution and communication strategies are deployed across the company. Primary focus will be on value-added business analysis, understanding of key operational metrics that lead to insightful and accurate development of relevant business information, and timely financial, budgeting, and analysis. As a key leader in the organization, you will enable healthy discourse and discussion amongst teams, synthesizing large amounts of information and data in order to distill them into actionable insights for the leadership team that drive operational strategy across the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for providing executive level direction and management oversight for financial planning, budgeting and budget analysis, support to business operations
  • Work with the Executive team to develop a strategic vision and long-term plan for the future of the company
  • Assist in Investor/Lender updates, and reporting requirements
  • Provide analysis of financial results and forecasts to management to support timely decision making
  • Work closely with the Finance Reporting team to ensure accuracy in the financial model inputs/outputs that enable the team to deliver insightful, value-added analysis across the company, in order to drive insights and actions that can be leveraged to improve business performance
  • Along with the CFO, maintain and monitor investor relations to meet the company ‘s current and future capital needs and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Assist in the development of strategic alternatives including the establishment of long-term goals and objectives, helping to identify objectives, as appropriate, and assist in the execution of our strategic agendas
  • Ensure appropriate financial systems, reporting and analysis to support business growth and objectives with a mindset of continuous improvement
  • Provide leadership to the finance team, including staff development and succession planning
  • Drive continuous improvement in all financial processes, with a focus on developing a world-class team, leveraging technology and staffing resources
  • Provide visibility and predictability to the organization through accurate and timely financial planning and reporting of results, including financial statements and analysis for senior management, the company ‘s Board of Directors and other investors

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in finance or Accounting
  • CPA and/or MBA
  • 10+ years of progressive financial management experience
  • 5+ years’ experience at a VP level
  • Public company experience and/or E-commerce experience highly preferred
  • Experience in CPG or retail industry with deep understanding of the unique financial challenges facing high growth companies
  • Strong leadership experience across all financial disciplines with an emphasis on operations finance, planning and analysis
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills and be able to explain complex financial issues to all levels
  • Passionate executive who can articulate the company vision for finance in a clear and compelling way with all internal stakeholders
  • Exceptional presentation and writing skills and be able to convey a message that is understandable and relevant, linking business issues, financials results and strategy
  • Highly analytical, technically proficient, operationally and business savvy
  • Strong leadership and people development skills with proven ability to develop, motivate and retain high-potential talent
