The Director Accounting and Quality reports directly to the Managing Partners and contributes management level accounting expertise, supporting internal teams skill development..

The Director acts as an advisor and subject matter expert for our internal teams, identifying areas of opportunity.

This is a leadership and a hands-on position that is proactive and solution oriented, offering depth of experience to our clients and employees in the fast-paced world of start-up accounting.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Full Stack Finance’s Accounting and Auditing internal practice policies and standards Assist in developing continuing professional education program materials and lead training sessions Assist in monitoring compliance with GAAP standards and controls Assist with the implementation of new accounting and audit standards Serve as a technical resource to partners, managers and staff Identify areas that need or could benefit from improvement and develop practice aids, tools and methodology to affect change Maintain technical skills by studying trends and developments in quality management, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations Mentor staff in areas requiring quality related improvement and otherwise contribute to their professional development Develop and maintain accounting and auditing library and templates, including updating as GAAP standards change Assist in implementation of new software and audit tools
Qulifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required Active CPA preferred 3+ years of accounting experience with an early to mid stage growth company.

8+ years prior audit experience with a Top 10 accounting firm (quality control experience a plus) 3+ years management experience with a proven track record of training and developing accounting staff Sophisticated depth of communication, analytical, and time management skills Ability to multi-task efficiently from a remote work environment Maintain high attention to detail and strict deadlines Advanced knowledge of QB and Microsoft suite, especially excel Good understanding of the GAAP standards, common accounting practices & procedures in the following areas: Capitalization Policy, Prepaid Recognition Policy, Accruals, Fixed Assets, Intangible assets, AP, AR, Revenue, Deferred Revenue, current and long term liabilities and Inventory Excellent interpersonal skills and strong work ethic Ability to work collegially with client service teams Creative and thoughtful problem solving skills
