As Vice President, Technical Accounting Advisory, you will serve as RGP’s lead subject matter expert, with thought and strategic leadership of the organization’s technical accounting offering. You will advise external clients and internal business partners with respect to the execution of a broad range of consulting initiatives and serve as Engagement lead, responsible for Sales Support through Delivery, and as a senior advisor to multiple engagements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Serve as service offering leader: Setting strategy for current and future technical accounting advisory offerings at the broad solution level, driving team structure recommendations and execution
  • Provide overall management and leadership of Delivery team, with a direct reporting relationship, including performance feedback, utilization and skills development demands
  • Manage pipeline and assign engagement leads, ensuring engagements are assigned with consideration to expertise, geographic location and workload. Deliver against established utilization targets
  • Gain recognition as a thought leader through speaking engagements, white papers and social media presence
  • Represent RGP as a subject matter expert at conferences, CPE events and webcasts
  • Create solution roadmaps, prototypes, pricing, lifecycle projections and positioning for commercial strategy and execution; Establish solution pricing and positioning that are optimized for RGP’s target market

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in accounting highly preferred
  • CPA designation required
  • 15-20 years of experience within a Big 4 or regional public accounting firm required; proven experience delivering technical accounting solutions across a wide variety of industries
  • 10+ years of leadership/management experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with both an engaging presentation style and a proven ability to develop and communicate Solution and marketing strategies and recommendations to C-level
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and perform under pressure
  • Expertise in technical accounting for one or more of the following areas highly preferred: IPOs, M&A transactions, CECL and/or ALLL, or insurance industry
