Job Description: We are currently seeking a Tax Senior with Trust and Estate Experience.

In this role, the Tax Senior is required to assist in providing high level review of trust, estate and gift tax returns.

Tax Seniors are responsible for handling several engagements simultaneously or sometimes a single large engagement, coordinating and supervising the Tax Associates assigned to the specific engagements.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in Public Accounting.

Experience should be in trust and estate tax planning, probate accountings and review of 1041,706 and 709 tax returns.

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.

CPA designation or JD is a plus, a combination is preferred.

Candidates should be prepared to meet challenging client requirements, provide value added services and should possess strong communication (both oral and written), interpersonal and analytical skills.

Exposure to tax preparation and research software required.

Responsibilities Include: Provide high level personal financial and estate compliance services Prepare and review individual, fiduciary, estate and gift tax returns Prepare and review estate and trust fiduciary accountings Research Federal and State tax laws, prepare tax memorandums on technical topics, and develop tax savings strategies Manage all aspects of client accounts and provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 4 years of recent experience in Public Accounting with an emphasis in working with high net-worth clients Experience in Tax Advisory and Estate/Trust planning and compliance Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required Experience in tax preparation, fiduciary accounting and research software required Please visit our website as well at: www.markspaneth.com
