Bachelor degree required.
Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business strongly desired.
Experience in state and local transaction tax required.
Strong knowledge of multi-state indirect and transaction tax laws with the ability to research and document complex tax issues.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Identify problems/issues and follow-up with the proper resolution.
Strong knowledge of desktop software packages including Word, Excel and Access.
Ability to work simultaneously on numerous projects.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Detail oriented.

Job Requirements:
Maintain journal entries for the accurate recording of tax liabilities and perform GL account reconciliations Create and/or revise spreadsheets and processes to improve the tax return filing procedures.
Undertake recurring and special projects including utilization of support personnel as needed.
Resolve directly with state and local authorities any tax notices or issues Act as Tax Department subject matter expert/project point person on intra/inter departmental projects or initiatives.
Prepare documentation to support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) controls and procedures.
Perform research on complex tax issues.
