Strategic Partner Manager, Financial Services

Facebook is seeking a Strategic Partner Manager who is passionate about online payments, technology, e-commerce, financial services, social media, partner marketing and business strategy.

The Payments Industry and Financial Services Partnerships team within the Global Payment Partnerships organization at Facebook is responsible for developing and managing relationships with companies that provide critical payment services for our business lines, as well as partners who enable new commerce and payment experiences on our platform.

We work cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, marketing and operations teams to develop new capabilities, improve user experiences, and reduce barriers that prevent people from buying what they want.

Strategic Partner Manager, Financial Services Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing on the payments product roadmap for payments experiences by working closely with product, cross-functional and regional teams to identify requirements and providing subject-matter-expertise in financial services
  • Nurture, ramp-up and manage payments partners and initiatives from initial ideation of product requirements through the launch and throughout the course of the program
  • Identify new partners, evaluate their capabilities and opportunities to mutually grow the partnership through partner marketing
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to help identify/influence growth opportunities, solve existing consumer and business issues and develop new capabilities to improve our ability to process transactions
  • Collaborate with business development and assist in commercial term negotiations as needed
  • Lead opportunity identification on new and existing payments initiatives via industry research, market insights and best-practice sharing
  • Collaborate with operations in troubleshooting existing payments experiences for new and existing products

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industry work experience, with at least 5 years direct experience in the payments ecosystem
  • Industry knowledge of payments
  • Partnerships and partner marketing experience
  • BA/BS Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable working closely with product and engineering
  • Experience working closely with fintechs, financial services partners, etc.
  • Experience communicating and engaging at all levels of partner organizations
  • Detail oriented and good project management skills: capable of leading multiple time-sensitive, cross-functional projects
  • Strong quantitative experience with exceptional analytical skills
  • Master’s Business Administration (MBA)
