A staff accountant will be responsible to perform a variety of accounting assignments for multiple clients such as maintenance of accounting books and records, classification of transactions, preparation and analysis of trial balances and financial statements, and recording of journal entries.The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:Preparation and analysis of financial statements and supporting schedulesPreparation of compilations and no assurance financial statementsMonthly, quarterly, and annual write-up workPreparation of ancillary tax forms such as sales tax, property tax returns and city business licensesOther projects as assignedThe successful candidate with demonstrate:Competency in accrual accounting conceptsGood organizational skills and the ability to multi-taskProactive approachAbility to work independently with minimal direction from supervisors to accomplish assigned taskExcellent oral and written communication skillsEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; 3.0 or higher GPA requiredCPA eligible or actively working toward CPA eligibility requirementsProficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, especially ExcelFamiliarity with QuickBooks Desktop and Online, is a plusAble and willingness to learn new technology and skills
