Sr. Director of Business Development- Consumer Financing

Adir International, the parent company of Curacao and Adir Financial Services (AFS), is a retailer and consumer lender that has operated in southwest region for over 40 years.

Headquartered in Downtown Los Angeles, Adir International has mainly served the Hispanic community through 12 big box department stores and in recent years has branched out to a more general market consumer.

Adir International is seeking a passionate and driven Sr.

Director of Business Development to oversee both the Curacao and AFS consumer finance business development initiatives which include a wide range of lending and ancillary programs.

This role includes the development of new business and managing existing programs to growth and profitability.

The Sr.

Director of Business Development is responsible for the conceptualization, buildout and growth of new and existing financial products and services through physical and digital channels.

Major duties and responsibilities:
Strategic and methodical design and execution of new consumer lending business ventures Work in tandem with risk and operations teams to develop and grow new consumer financing loans and services.

Redesign current consumer lending programs to meet future state goals.

Implement effective strategies to support the acquisition of profitable customers and identifying their financial needs to offer related consumer financing loans and services.

Assist in the build out and management of a business development group that will oversee the implementation, growth and success of all consumer financing loans and services.

Routinely monitor and report on the performance of the programs.

Strictly adhere to company and credit policies as well as official guides for interest rates and service charges regulated by state and federal agencies.

Make recommendations to management on product improvements or changes.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.

5+ years of professional experience in business development similar position in the financial services industry.

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Strong growth skills, including lead generation, sales prospect progression (lead to closing), and portfolio management.

Candidates must be self-starter, results oriented, able to work independently and towards increasing business objectives.

Excellent interpersonal, planning and analytical skills required.

Outstanding presentation and communication skills in English.

Spanish language is a plus.

Problem solving, detail oriented and able to multitask, while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Maintains and promotes a high standard of confidentiality and strong ethical values.

Sound judgment and proper criteria for establishing priorities correctly.

Computer savvy required, including MS office and other business software and applications required.

·       Knowledge of SAS, R-Stat, SQL, and Marketing Automation Platforms (and more) is a plus.
