At the same time, Cedars-Sinai demonstrates a longstanding dedication to strengthening the Los Angeles community through multifaceted programs that improve the health of its most vulnerable residents.Supporting the Cancer Research Center Health Equity team as a Sr. Administrative Assistant, you will support the clerical, administrative, and general office activities to optimize the workflow within the department. The Cancer Research Center for Health Equity conducts a wide range of research, from molecular/genetic to behavioral, and research-driven community outreach and engagement (COE). COE efforts focus on compliance with cancer screening guidelines and major behavioral and lifestyle factors, such as physical activity, tobacco cessation and dissemination of the latest, most accurate cancer information.Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinates arrangements for meetings, conferences or travel for an individual or group or department. Researches and responds to inquiries and calls, may escalate to other levels of the organization as appropriate. Establishes procedures and systems to ensure orderly and timely flow of the office operations. May act as or support the Staff Development Advisory Network (SDAN), Safety Representative and/or Kronos editor within the department and/or unit. Responds timely, effectively, and appropriately to deliverables. Formats, types, and edits correspondence, documents, memos, reports, meeting minutes and/or presentation materials. Compiles financial and operational data from multiple sources to assist management in preparing and monitoring budget and workforce planning and/or other department reports. Distributes and disseminates information within the department. Orders supplies and arranges for equipment maintenance. Submits, monitors, and tracks – invoices, reimbursements, and supply management. May assist with preparation and submission of expense reports. Establishes and maintains an internal filing system. Identifies and responds appropriately to both – internal and external customer needs utilizing available resources. Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, required. College Diploma, preferred.Experience & Skillset: 2 years office and administrative experience, required. Ability to handle multiple demands and / or manage complex and competing priorities. Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines. Ability to demonstrate time management and priority setting skills. Ability to establish good rapport with interdepartmental stakeholders. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (outlook, word, excel, powerpoint). Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
