If you’re an experienced accountant who thrives in fast-paced workplaces and enjoys taking on new challenged, Max Young with Robert Half Finance has a terrific full-time Senior Accountant position. Our client is a rapidly growing real estate investment and management firm located in West LA. As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. How you will make an impact
– Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
– Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
– Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
– Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
– Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
– Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
– Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
– Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
– Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Job Requirements:
– 5+ years of overall general accounting experience
– Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
– Vow to meet business deadlines
– Exceptional time management skills preferred
– Experience with ERP systems
– Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
– AppFolio experience highly desired
– Month-end Journal Entries experience desired
– Knowledge of bank reconciliations
– Proficiency in financial statement preparation
– Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience
– Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
– BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
– Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills
– Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
– Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
