In this vital role you will lead a team of solution architects and partner with business leaders to digitally transform Amgen’s Finance capabilities via implementation of SAP S/4HANA.
As a leader within our global Digital, Technology, and Innovation (DTI) team, this role will help guide the transition from our worldwide ERP instance on SAP ECC to the S/4HANA Intelligent Enterprise.

Come join a team that is passionate about innovation and making life better with technology Lead the assessment, planning, and deployment of capabilities that enable Amgen’s CFO organization from SAP ECC to S/4HANA Make key architectural decisions for Amgen’s S/4HANA ERP landscape with a focus on Finance & Controlling, Materials Management, and SAP-integrated solution components (e.g.
Ariba, Concur, Blackline, etc) Provide thought leadership in standardization, configuration, and act as domain expert in leading multiple delivery teams Collaborate with business partners to co-create business value through identification of transformational opportunities such as Continuous Close Partner with the Global ERP platform team and peer leads to devise and execute an S/4HANA migration strategy Win What we expect of you We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.
The S/4 Finance professional we seek is a Senior Manager with these qualifications.
Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree and 2 years of finance domain experience Or Masters degree and 6 years of finance domain experience Or Bachelors degree and 8 years of finance domain experience Or Associates degree and 10 years of finance domain experience Or High school diploma / GED and 12 years of finance domain experience Preferred Qualifications: Proven experience in leading multiple SAP S/4 implementations with a focus on FICO, MM, and integrated components At least 5 years of combined implementation, solution architecture, and migration hands-on experience in leading SAP S/4HANA finance deployment Demonstrated understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); ability to clearly communicate key accounting concepts Experience managing General Ledger, Asset Accounting, AR / AP, Cost Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Profitability Analysis, and Source to Pay processes Experience managing SAP partner products such as Ariba, Concur, Blackline, SAP Lease Accounting by Nakisa (SLAN), and Process Runner Demonstrated ability between different software version releases and new innovations that are brought in each S/4HANA releases Outstanding communication skills and experience partnering with cross-functional business leaders to drive strategic decisions Experience leading teams in an agile operating model Strong track record of mentoring junior technology talent Thrive What you can expect of us As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for our teammates professional and personal growth and well-being.
