offers an exciting and rewarding career opportunity for a highly talented, motivated, and energetic leader to join the Controllership team as our Senior Director of Revenue Accounting.
The Senior Director of Revenue Accounting will be a key leader in the Controllership and partner closely with Revenue Operations, BizApps, FP&A, Sales, Technical Accounting and External Reporting, and other global teams across the Company.This opportunity will allow you to be an influential leader and cross functional partner to contribute meaningfully and drive results across various initiatives in an exciting, fast-paced, high growth SaaS organization; this role will drive revenue transformation through process improvement and automation efforts related to revenue accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategy and vision around the revenue accounting processes, system implementations, use of robotics process automation, and standardization of policies.
- Establish framework for critical considerations in development of business application
- Provide thought leadership, guidance, and strategy on technical revenue recognition matters.
- Provide counsel to team members and other cross functional teams on how to apply revenue recognition guidelines for SaaS and related offerings.
- Develop and enhance processes and controls for Quote to Cash, and establish cadence for documentation and continuous improvement reviews.
- Establish revenue recognition metrics with FP&A and Sales to better evaluate periodic performance.
- Create efficiencies and scale through eliminating legacy manual processes and implementing technology solutions and automation.
- Collaborate with Deal Desk and Sales to train, educate, and collectively evaluate complex customer contract terms and their implication on revenue recognition, and revenue accounting operations.
- Collaborate with FP&A and Sales to improve visibility to revenue recognition issues or changes that impact forecast precision
- Contribute to the development of accounting solutions for enterprise projects, new product offerings and process simplification and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance required.
CPA strongly preferred
- 15+ years of progressive experience within revenue operations and accounting organizations experience with a Bachelor’s degree;
- ~10 years in leadership or management positions in an accounting organization
- Experience with multi-national public Technology, SaaS, and/or Telecommunications companies
- Strong software and SaaS revenue recognition knowledge in the areas of ASC 606, and related revenue recognition pronouncements under US GAAP
- Strong experience in revenue accounting transformation, system migrations, and new system implementations
- Experience with Netsuite and SalesForce
- Experience at multi-national public company preferred
- Strong leadership and the experience leading, scaling, and expanding global teams
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, work independently, prioritize competing workloads, and manage the deliverables from business partners and team members
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence management and contributors at all levels of the organization and across functions.
