Senior Accountant

Seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to oversee daily and monthly accounting functions in Downtown Los Angeles.

The Senior Accountant should have experience in AP, AR and General Ledger accounting and be proficient in month‐end close procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Produce analyses for monthly balance sheet & income statements including general ledger maintenance.
Manage Accounts Receivable including monitoring of aging and working with teams to ensure timely collections.

Includes posting of client pay applications in Sage 100.
Maintain internal control and safeguards for revenue recognition, costs, and budgets to actual expenditures.
Oversee depreciation, fixed assets and amortization schedules including reconciliations and journal entries.
Conduct the month end close with minimal supervision including audit preparation and trial balance analysis.
Oversee monthly worker’s compensation payments including annual audits.
Processing of payroll data entry.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation
Demonstrate ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Strong comprehension of cash management & forecasting
Ad hoc reporting and special projects and analysis
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance or related field
10+ years of experience as Staff/Senior Accountant in the construction industry
Proficiency in Sage 100 Contractor and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v‐lookups, formulas, etc.)
Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal, written, mathematical and verbal communication skills
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00
– $95,000.00 per year
